How we count users and devices

Last reviewed:

Summary

We count protected accounts and computers or servers that have checked in within the last 30 days. Your invoice uses the actual count taken on the last day of the month.

Who counts as a user?

Every protected Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account that our identity protection monitors counts as a user. A suspended Google Workspace account still counts while it exists.

Which devices count?

Every computer or server whose management agent has checked in within the last 30 days counts. A machine that has been offline for longer stops counting.

When is the count taken?

We take the count on the last day of each month. The invoice on the 1st bills the coming month in advance, using that actual count.

Why can my bill change month to month?

Your bill uses the current count rather than the number first quoted. Adding staff or devices increases the count. Removing them reduces it according to the account and device counting rules above.

How do I check my count?

Ask support@teclara.tech for the list behind your count.
