Summary
A technician can connect only after you consent. A banner stays visible throughout the session, and you keep control of your keyboard and mouse.
How does a session start?
If remote support is on your computer, a technician can connect after you consent. Nothing connects automatically. Remote support is installed on managed computers for clients who use it.
How do I know someone is connected?
A banner stays visible throughout the session. You keep control of your keyboard and mouse. You and the technician can copy and paste between your computers.
What permissions does macOS need?
The first session asks you to allow screen recording and accessibility permissions. On macOS 15 and later, you also see a one-time "Local Network" prompt.
Allow these permissions so the technician can see your screen and help.
What if someone calls unexpectedly and asks for access?
Teclara never calls you unsolicited to ask for remote access. If someone does, hang up and contact us. Clients can use portal.teclara.tech or support@teclara.tech. If you are not a client, use hello@teclara.tech.
